A lot of people are saying that we are accepting book donations again, and also CDs and also DVDs. And they are right! You can count on it.

A lot of people have been asking “how can I donate these books?” This is what we tell them: Bring them to the Delaware Ave Branch of the Albany Public Library on a Tuesday. Come between 4pm and 7pm if you can and deliver them to the reception table at the Friends and Foundation Book Sale. If you need to come before 4pm, go into the Library and ask for help at the Reference Desk. Depending on the number of books you have, they will hold them inside until 4pm or ask you to leave them outside by the shed.

We especially love cookbooks right now. Everyone who comes to the Farmer’s Market is thinking about food and cooking and cookbook donations all fly off the table into a new home. But we accept everything, even coloring books. We are collecting mysteries for a big Mystery Book Sale this Fall, and poetry for our April Poetry Book Sale.

We need volunteers to keep our sales going! Sign up for a day and time using this Google Form or express interest via United Way GCR volunteer portal.
