Due to inclement weather, Bike the Branches is rescheduled to Saturday, October 14.
Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Albany Public Library with Albany Bicycle Coalition (ABC) and the Friends and Foundation of APL!
This year’s Bike the Branches will visit six library branches, and there will be a brief history talk at each branch.
• Arrive at Pine Hills Branch at 11:15 to check in and sign ABC’s waiver. The ride begins at 11:30.
• Distance: 9 miles; Ride time: 2 hours
• Total elevation gain: 415 feet – includes some hills.
• Return to Pine Hills Library 1:30 PM. Free indoor concert at 2:00 PM
Reservations are not required; but for planning purposes, ABC would appreciate it if you RSVP to: albanybicyclecoalition@yahoo.com to let ABC know you’re coming, and how many people are in your group.
Safety
• Helmets and signed waiver required
• Minimum age 12; riders under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult
Waiver
To ensure that all riders understand the inherent risks of cycling on public roadways, and for insurance purposes: all riders must sign a standard League of American Bicyclists waiver form. Waiver forms are provided at the ride, and signed on site; no need to bring any with you.
