Now that we are meeting every week again in person
and coffee is back!
it's time to revise this call.

Is there a book that you would like to talk about? Then sign up to give a Tuesday Book Talk!

For decades, the Friends of Albany Public Library met EVERY TUESDAY at noon at the Washington Ave branch to hear a book review or author talk. This program abruptly paused for to the pandemic, and pivoted to virtual in August 2020. We have been meeting weekly again at the Washington Avenue branch since July of 2022.

The Programming Committee (Jon Skinner, Roger Green, and Gene Damm) welcome new voices for book reviews. Their ideal book reviewer is (a) a local person (b) talking about a book that they think is important (c) and who has unique perspective (due to life experiences or expertise) on the topic.

If you check all those boxes, please give us a call or email us. Books less than two years old are great, but you can review a book published anytime as long as you believe the book is important.

You can see most of the videos we have presented on Zoom since 2020 on our Youtube channel. Visit LibCal for our upcoming book talk schedule, or join the Tuesday Book Talks Facebook group.
