Thank you to everyone who donated on Library Giving Day to support our Scholarship Fund. We raised over $1000 on Library Giving Day, and raised $578 for our scholarship fund! We also received $600 in pledges towards our goal of $30,000.
If you haven’t given already, or if you already gave to the Annual Appeal, please consider giving this month to the future of the library and our foundation by donating to the FFAPL Scholarship Fund! You can also give us a call at (518) 427-4367 to pledge an amount. (Pledges are a promise to give if we reach our goal.) We appreciate any amount of generosity offered to help us in reaching it. All donations to the FFAPL in the month of April will go straight to the Scholarship Fund! After that Scholarship Fund campaign continues until we reach our goal of $30,000.
Why is this scholarship so important?
The FFAPL Scholarship Fund will help to provide professional development for the Albany Public Library staff so that the staff you already know and love (see the post below!) can be better equipped to serve you and the community. The Friends and Foundation of the Albany Public Library are committed to achieving and maintaining a workforce that broadly represents the Albany community: with your help, we can help more entry-level staff move into the professional staff and library leadership.
