Greetings! My name is Sam, and I am currently a full-time graduate student at University at Albany in the MA / MS English and Information Science combined program. I also work as a graduate ambassador for the Graduate School. I spend most of my free time reading any books I can get my hands on, and I write creatively when I’m not stuck in writer’s block. Interning at the Friends and Foundation of Albany Public Library was an enlightening time in my life. I gained valuable, first-hand experience with writing blog posts, as well as drafting newsletter stories. I learned how to work with and operate programs completely new to me like Constant Contact, WordPress, and more. I was even able to interview an author! I had a great time interning with the FFAPL. Overall, it was an excellent place to begin my professional career.
Since Meet Our Board posts are running all month, it seemed like a good time to post some Meet Our Staff posts, too! Sam was one of our English Interns in summer 2020. We were able to hire Sam this year to use the skills that they developed during their internship as our newsletter writer!
