Tuesday Book Review Moves to Twice Monthly in 2021!
Mark your Calendars – The Friends and Foundation are starting the New Year 2021 with an exciting line up of book talks. Talks will now take place twice per month, meeting on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month, via Zoom. We concluded 2020 with two interesting talks. In the November book talk, David Levine brought us a humorous and historical perspective on the Hudson Valley, reading excerpts from his book, The Hudson Valley: the First 250 Million Years. In December, Richard King gave us a riveting account of John Lewis’ life through his review of Lewis’ autobiography, Walking with the Wind.
This season’s topics span from the Icelandic Middle Ages, to World War II, to the present-day U.S. Bring your cup of coffee and your curiosity!

February 16: Author Talk: Jacqueline A. Kane, PhD,CEO of Consulting and Coaching, LLC, & formerly of the NYS Education Department, discusses & reads from her book A Real Whole Lot: A World War II Soldier’s Love Letters to His Wife.
March 2: Author Talk: Laurie Stone, author of My Life as an Animal: Stories,discusses & reads from her memoir Everything Is Personal: Notes on Now.
March 16: Book Review: Supreme Power: Franklin Roosevelt vs. the Supreme Courtby Jeff Shesol. Reviewer: Gene Damm, former journalist & former president of the Friends of Albany Public Library.
April 6: NLW Distinguished Author Lecture: (Save the Date!)
