I grew up in the Hudson Valley. Through my early adulthood, I lived in different regions of New York until I came home to the Capital Region six years ago. And recently, I became a member of the New Scotland / Voorheesville community with my fiancé and 9 month old son.

My favorite way to spend my leisure time is watching my son grow and explore. And in the time I’m not doing that, I enjoy creating small mixed media art projects. (I’m currently working on a hand-drawn children’s’ book for my son’s first birthday gift, and recording a written biography of my grandfather’s life!)

Since my young adulthood my local library branch was a second home for me, wherein I would spend my summers exploring the YA and nonfiction sections for hours each day. Then, as a young adult I took an opportunity to apprentice under the head librarian at that local library, an experience I carry with me, close to my heart. My love of libraries has followed me to every community I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of. As an Albany County resident, I was excited by the chance to share my love of libraries with others, so I pursued a position on the FFAPL board!

Professionally, I consider myself first an advocate for my community, and second an emerging leader in the Non-Profit Development community. I hope to bring my experience in event planning, storytelling and community building to the Friends and Foundation and Albany Public Libraries and to learn and grow through the experience!

Libraries are thought tanks, safe spaces, education centers, containers for histories, places to gather, to be together, or to escape into your own world, open to everyone- they are an important pillar for so many people in so many ways. I’m grateful to serve my community this way- through my love of libraries, on the FFAPL Board.

Meet Our Board!. We want to let the public and our donors know all of the dedicated volunteers who serve on the FFAPL board. And, if you are interested in joining our board, contact us and someone from the Board Nominating Committee will follow up with you.
